Ultra Board

Ultra Board is a lightweight rigid substrate made from a recycled paper honeycomb core with laminated paper facings of various paper grades to suit internal application and performance requirements.

Various sizes are available in thicknesses from 6mm up to 36mm

Recycled paper fibre content of Ultra Board ranges from 20% for the FR, CR & GR variants, to 81%-84% for the MR & R variants.

Points to consider when selecting

Reduce

Ultra Board is a lightweight paper product and at 6mm thick weighs less than 1KG/m2 which is less than a 2mm thick Display Board and significantly less than Rigid PVC at 3kg/m2

At 36mm thick Ultra Board weighs less than twice the 6mm thickness due to the nature of the honeycomb core material. A six-fold increase in the Rigid PVC and Foam PVC boards will result in a six-fold increase in weight.

Re-use

Ultra Board is not generally re-used.

Recycle

Being a paper based product Ultra Board products are easily recycled through established card or mixed paper collection systems.
Direct printing, or paper lamination is a preferred process for displays as fabrics or vinyl print media are not easily separated for recycling.

Should the product have to go to Landfill after use, due to dissimilar material lamination the lightweight nature reduces the weight against which landfill tax is charged.
