Dufaylite Gain ISO14001

Dufaylite Developments Ltd, the St Neots based manufacturer of recycled paper honeycomb and panel products for the Construction, Packaging, Exhibition and Retail Display sectors has achieved the International Organisation for Standardisation ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) Certification, having been recently assessed by the British Standards Institute Management Systems audit team.

In presenting the award, Mark Stokes (seated left), Area Manager for BSI Management Systems said, ‘By certifying its EMS under ISO 14001, Dufaylite Developments Ltd, has committed its business operations at all levels to implement, maintain and constantly improve environmental practices throughout the company. The ISO 14001 EMS along with the recycled paper based panel products marketed by the company will provide the large corporate clients the company is now working with a strong, environmentally conscious partner to make the sustainability improvements in their operations.’

In receiving the award, Laurence Rankin (seated right), EMS Manager, Dufaylite Developments Ltd, said  ‘I am very proud to receive the formal Certificate on behalf of the company and it marks completion of phase 1 of our program during challenging times for the business. Even at this stage we are achieving good cost savings for the business and I am excited by the projects we have planned for phase two which we plan to complete during 2010.’

Tony Moscrop (standing), Chairman, Dufaylite Developments Ltd, said ‘ I am pleased to have been invited to the Certificate of Registration award by the senior management team and congratulate them on their significant achievement. We see this internationally recognised Certificate as a main building block in our work with UK national industry bodies to achieve high standards in environmental best practice. We are members of the POPAI (Point of Purchase & Advertising International) Green Project, working alongside major retailers, brand owners, manufacturers and service providers, who are committed to providing sustainable display and point of purchase solutions. In addition to this project we are members of FISP (Furniture Industry Sustainability Programme) and participate in sustainability initiatives with the SDEA (Shop and Display Equipment Association). I firmly believe that the co-ordinated work we are doing within the industry and our business operations will deliver sustainable growth at Dufaylite Developments Ltd and other companies within the Dufaylite Group.
